Our Healthcare Programs and Services
The Mann House was the pioneer in providing very specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care since 1988 to Atlanta families and their loved ones. All levels of healthcare programs include our individualized care plans which have been developed from our exclusive The Mann Plan. Our Executive Director and Director of Healthcare develop personalized care plans based on family input and personal assessments, and include (at no extra charge):
- Assistance with all medications, as often as necessary
- Coordination of outside healthcare providers including:
- Attending physician / RN's on call 24/7
- Alzheimer’s / dementia care at all levels (including behavioral)
- Home Health (Licensed and Private Pay)
- Hospice care in-house
- Pharmacy
- Podiatrist
- Psychologist / Psychiatrist
- Availability of our owner, founder and CEO, Charles and/or Louise Mann to discuss any concerns, requests or issues that may arise
- Emergency call system in each bedroom and bathroom
- Silver Tray Service when a resident is not able to join us in the dining room
- Housekeeping services a minimum of twice per week (unlimited, as needed)
- Laundry services twice a week (unlimited and as needed, includes ironing by hand)
- Private dining room available for special family celebrations
- Nutritious snacks provided between meals
- All utilities included except telephone and cable (units wired for service)
- Special diets available including:
- Diabetic
- Low salt
- Soft mechanical
- Gluten Free
- Multiple common rooms for your enjoyment:
- Wonderful player piano entertains in entry foyer
- Large living room with cathedral ceiling and fireplace
- Three screened porches overlooking wooded areas
- Secured outdoor courtyard with gazebo and gardens
- Game room / activity area with fireplace
- Beauty Salon / barber shop
Because of our small size, when you call us or stop by unannounced you will always be able to get an up-to-date status report on your family member. All of our staff knows the health status of each resident at all times.
Service Levels
The Mann House is an exclusive assisted living healthcare residence for persons who require various levels of hospitality and healthcare and hospitality services to remain as independent, functional and secure as possible. To apply for residence and to ascertain the appropriate and necessary combination of ADL’s (activities-in-daily-living) and personal health care services and their cost, an assessment will be scheduled with our Director of Healthcare Services. Our owner and founder, Charles H. Mann III or Mrs. Louise Mann will be available to meet with you to answer questions and greet you and your family as a prospective new member of The Mann House family.
Health Care Program Levels
Moderate hands-on assistance with activities-of-daily-living (ADL's), medication supervision, hospitality and dining services (our “Silver Tray Service” included), reminders for meals and activities, ambulation with walker or wheelchair. Includes early stage Alzheimer’s/dementia supervision.
Progressive assistance with ADL’s covers a higher level of hands-on personal care and interdisciplinary care services, incontinence management, assistance with transfers, diabetes monitoring/glucose checks and insulin, and assistance with eating (our "Silver Tray Service" included). Includes Stage 2 Alzheimer’s/dementia supervision.
Advanced level of assistance with ADL’s covers personal healthcare and hospitality services, including Bronze and Silver Levels. Includes Stage 3 Alzheimer’s/dementia supervision and mild behavioral issues.
The Mann House Signature Service Level
The maximum level of assistance with ADL’s including special hands-on individual care specifically tailored to the requirements and wishes of the resident and his/her family. Includes all services in Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. We are able to routinely manage the most time consuming and difficult health care conditions (including advanced Stage 4 Alzheimer’s and dementia). Includes more severe behavioral problems.

Respite Care
From time to time on a space available basis, The Mann House will accept persons on a respite basis. This may be strictly for the respite benefits of a resident and/or his/her family or preliminary to permanent residence in The Mann House.
The rate is $200-$250 (based on service level required) per-day all-inclusive, on an as available basis. The Mann House may be able to provide furniture for an extra daily charge. Minimum stay is one week. Payable in advance.
